Vote Chori: Rahul Gandhi 5 Key Points
Rahul Gandhi explained how voting manipulation is done by the BJP government using the Election Commission.
“Now I will give you five examples. Look at this—Gurkirat Singh Dang. His name appears on four different booths. How did this happen, and why did it happen?
Another example—Vishal Singh. His name is on the voter list in Varanasi, and in Bengaluru, it appears twice in the voter list. Is he voting in Varanasi, or is he voting in Bengaluru, or in both places?
Here’s another example—House Number Zero. Have you ever heard of House Number Zero? We had never heard of it. But in Bengaluru, there are thousands of “House Number Zero” entries on the voter list.
Now listen to the story of House Number 35. It’s a small house—at most four people can live there. But in House Number 35, there are 80 people registered in the voter list. How did the ARO approve this? Why did they approve it? We need to find out.
Now look at these photos on the voter list—either there is no photo, or the photos are so small that they can’t be recognized. Yet, votes have been cast on these voter IDs.
Let me tell you the story of Shakuntala Rani. She became a “first-time voter” at the age of 70. She used Form-6 once, and just a few months later, used Form-6 again. Her name appeared twice in the voter list—and also in the “first-time voters” list. She simply cannot be a first-time voter. So, did Shakuntala Rani actually vote, or did someone else vote on her behalf?
And Shakuntala Rani is not alone—there are thousands of people who have used Form-6 to get their names entered in the voter list two or three times.
Earlier, we had asked the Election Commission for the electronic voter list and CCTV footage. They didn’t do their job. They didn’t give it to us. So, we carried out our own investigation. We filed RTIs, and we got the data.
Brothers and sisters, the truth is that in India, the Election Commission and the BJP are working together to steal elections. Today, we have given you this evidence in black and white. The Election Commission knows we have caught their theft—that’s why this FIR has come up.
This FIR is institutionalized theft. The Election Commission, openly and without fear, is working hand-in-hand with the BJP to commit theft. And the aim of this FIR is to steal the votes of the poor, to take away their rightful voice.
Let me tell you something else—in this entire investigation, we have focused only on voter additions. But just as many additions happen, perhaps even more deletions and subtractions take place. So, we have only caught one main method here. We have not even investigated the other methods yet.
Right now, I am telling the Election Commission and its officers clearly—what you are doing is wrong. This is treason. It is against the country. Do not forget—when the time comes, we will catch you. You will not escape.
It is critical that we expose voter theft.”
