Parivesh registration: Indian government has launched a parivesh scheme where online registration for exotic birds, animals is done. This parivesh scheme is aimed in a way so that there should be the proper care of these pets.
Now the Indian Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change has issued an Advisory for the people who are having exotic animals as pets will have to do the registration of them.
We have shared the detailed information o how you can do the parivesh registration online.
Parivesh Scheme
Parivesh scheme is for Voluntary Disclosure and Registration of Stock, Import of Exotic Live Species in India & related matters (for exotic live animals listed in CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) excluding wild animals listed in the schedules of Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972).
People who are having exotic animals and birds as their pets will have to do register their pets on the parivesh portal so that government can get their data.
People who own live animals, or get change in their transfer/death/acquisition will have to register on the parivesh website.
The whole registration process is made online for the people so that they do not face any kind of problem while giving details of their pets.

Parivesh Scheme registration last date
As per the latest news, the parivesh registration last date is 15th March 2021. If till then no registration is done after that guilty found people will face consequences.

Parivesh registration online
If you are interested in the registration, then at first you have to visit the official website i.e parivesh.nic.in.
Here you will see under exotic live species, New Registration. You have to click on that.
Now you will be redirected to the online registration page, Here on New Registration Form (Exotic Live Species, Environment, Forest, CRZ & Wildlife Clearances) you have to enter the required details like
One time registration of User Agency is required on the Portal.
- User Agency can register more than one Applicant (or branch offices) under the same name.
- An applicant (with the same user id) can submit more than one proposal on the portal.
- Once entered, the Email Id of the User Agency can not be modified.
- Below both forms need to be filled for registration and if User Agency and Applicant details are the same then fill in the same details.
Now in the end click on the submit button and your registration is done.
Note: Once get submitted the activation mail will be sent to the registered Email ID, Click on the activation link within 24 hours to activate your login.
Once registered and logged in, the applicant will have to click on the icon “Approvals”.
On clicking “Approvals” two icons will appear:
- Whether applying for the new proposal.
- Updates/modify details of the existing proposal or NPV payment (lease transfer)
Now continue filling the online application form page correctly and save & submit the online proposal submission or list of proposals submitted by online parivesh.
