The election commission of India has launched the (e-Epic) Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card on the national voter’s day i.e on 25th January 2021.
e epic card is a digital copy of your voter id card and this can be downloaded now on your mobile application or on your mobile phone. This e voter id card is a non-editable digital version of your voter id card.

This e-epic facility is launched by the law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, on national voter’s day.
What is an e-Epic?
e-EPIC is a portable document format(PDF) version of the voter id card that can be downloaded on mobile or on the computer. A voter can save his/her voter id card on mobile or can print it and self-laminate it.

Who are eligible for e-EPIC?
From the 1st Feb 2021 onwards all General electors in the country are eligible to download the online voter id card.

- Now there is no need to wait for the hardcopy of the voter id card, you can download it from your mobile.
- This is the faster mode for getting Electoral Photo Identity Card in a digital format.
- Can be printed once you download it from anywhere and you can do voting with this id card.
- You do not have to visit any office or panchayat to get your voter id card.

To download your epic card you have to first visit the official website i.e www.nvsp.in, here you have to first do the registration, so click on the Login/Register as shown below.
Now after clicking on it you will be redirected to the new page where you have to click on the Register as a New User.
Now on the next page, you have to do the online registration, enter the correct details, and register.
Your EPIC Number is your voter id number, if you do not have then select I don’t have epic number and go on.
After doing registration you have to click on e-KYC to complete the KYC.
In the KYC you have to
- Pass the Face liveness verification
- Update your mobile number to complete KYC
- Download e-EPIC
Once you are finished with your KYC you can now download your epic voter card online on your mobile or computer.
