The Tamil Nadu state government has launched the pudhumai penn scheme 2022-23 for the girl students studying in government schools. The pudhumai penn scheme registration and eligibility process is very simple. The launch dates are released and students who want to take benefit can fill online application for it.
Under this Pudhumai Penn scheme, girls students will get Rs.1,000 per month during their higher/technical education after the completion of their school education in government schools.

Tamil Nadu CM M. K. Stalin has launched this pudhumai penn scheme for the welfare of girls, under which Rs.1000 will be given to all the girls who have passed their schooling from the government schools in tamilnadu.
This financial assistance will be given during their higher/technical education. Till now approx. 1.13 lakh girl students have taken the cash amount in their bank accounts.
The students who want to register themselves to this portal will have to visit the official website i.e www.pudhumaipenn.tn.gov.in.
On this official portal you can login after the registration. And you want to register the visit your institute and they will do your registration.
The students can only register through their institutions and NOT directly. Also camps for students registration are also organised.

All you have to do is to visit your institutions or camp registration sites and enroll your name on the application form for this pudhumai penn yojana.

This scheme will facilitate transfer of Rs.1000 in the girls accounts on the 7th of every month till their course gets completed. It is estimated approx. 6 lakh girls can take the benefit every year.
Eligibility Criteria
Students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in the state-run as well as self-financing Arts, Science, Polytechnic, Engineering, and Vocational colleges are eligible to apply for this scheme. For this new scheme, an amount of Rs. 698 crore was allotted in the budget.
