காசி தமிழ் சங்கமம் 2023: The ministry of education department has launched kashi tamil sangamam registration 2023 for the people so that they can visit the kashi vishwanath temple. Interested people can apply online from the official portal i.e kashitamil.iitm.ac.in.
The kashi tamil sangamam 2023 is to rediscover, reaffirm and celebrate the age-old links between the Tamil culture and Kashi that has existed since centuries.
In Varanasi (Kashi) seminars, discussions etc will be held in between experts/scholars of our Indian culture. In this article, we have shared the kasi tamil sangamam registration process, online application, eligibility and all other details.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam Registration 2023
KASHI TAMIL SANGAMAM 2023 is an initiative by Government of India as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and to uphold the Spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat”. Sangamam will further strengthen the common experience, appreciation and bonds amongst the people of Tamil Nadu & Varanasi.
People who want to visit the kashi will have to go through the online registration process. Below we have shared the steps to do registration.
- At first you have to visit the official web portal i.e https://kashitamil.iitm.ac.in. Here on the homepage you will see a link stating REGISTER (பதிவு).
- Once you click on it you will scroll down to the page, where you will see different options and you can click the under you want to go, like students, teachers, artist, rural, spiritual, temple etc.
- If you want to go kashi only to visit temple then you have to click on the temple option and then below registration form will be opened.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam Apply Online
Interested individuals belonging to above 12 groups shall apply online through the dedicated web portal https://kashitamil.iitm.ac.in. The online application submission mode is shared above in this article.
The application received through online process will be examined and delegates for each group will be selected by a Committee constituted for the purpose. The decision of the Selection Committee would be final.
There is still no mention of any last date to apply or for registration but it is considered that before the trains schedule you have to fill the application form.

The Kashi-Tamil Sangamam will be centered around a series of themes that cover various facets of knowledge – literature, ancient texts, philosophy, spirituality, music, dance, drama, yoga, Ayurveda, handlooms, handicrafts as well as the modern innovations, trade exchanges, edutech and other gen next technology etc.

Under this UG/PG students, teacher, etc. can apply and visit the kashi for 8 day knowledge carnival.
Kashi tamil sangamam train schedule
The train timings to visit the event batch will start from 17th Dec. 2023 to 30th Dec. 2023 (tentative dates). Below we have shared the train schedule to departure.
There will be 12 groups. Each group will contain of 216 people, 200 delegates and 16 facilitators and volunteers, travelling in 3 railway coaches.
- The 1st group will start from Tamil Nadu on Friday, 15th December night at 14:40 from Perambur(Chennai) and the last group/12th group will reach Chennai on 27th Dec Wednesday at 08:10.
- Kashi Tamil Sangamam will be held from 17th December to 30th December 2023.
- Every week, 3 groups will depart from Tamil Nadu respectively from Rameswaram, Coimbatore and Chennai Central. However, on return journey, services will be up to Chennai due to logistic reasons.
The 8-days program for every group :- 2 days onward journey(by train), 2 days at Kashi, 2 days for vising Prayagraj and Ayodhya (by bus) and 2 days return journey(by train) from Varanasi,
Kashi Tamil Sangamam Eligibility 2023
- Applicant must be resident of Tamil Nadu.
- Age must be above 18 years old and belonging to any of the above 12 groups may apply.
- The delegate to the program should furnish the correct details while submitting online application. The details should tally with the identify proof submitted for travel.
- Aadhar Card required.
- Mobile Phone.
- Email Id.
- No arrangements for any one accompanying the delegate could be made by the Organisers.
- Should be medically fit and travel by train and bus.
- Delegates travelling have to follow the guidelines given by the Coordinator of the Group.
