The Karnataka transport department is now accepting the online application forms for the covid-19 drivers’ relief fund. Under this scheme drivers with valid driving, licenses will get a relief fund of Rs.3000 in their bank accounts.

To overcome this issue the Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has launched a campaign under which auto/taxi drivers, unorganised sector workers, registered construction workers, street vendors/hawkers, artists, horticulturists, floriculturists will get a covid relief fund which is financial assistance for all these people.

The Karnataka transport department is expecting approx. 3 lakh application forms from the drivers and the registration process are started so soon we will get all the accurate data.

As we all know last year during the COVID-19 the state government has given Rs.5000 financial help for the auto and taxi drivers, but this year is it is reduced to Rs.3000.

This year maxi cab drivers are also included in the list of beneficiaries. So there will be more applications as compare to the previous one.

Drivers with DLs issued till April 24, 2021, are eligible to apply for this scheme. The ‘one driver, one vehicle’ policy is considered, which means if a driver has two vehicles then he will get compensation for only one vehicle.

• Now you will see the registration form or the application form page, here you have to fill in the details correctly in each section as asked.

• This filled information will be verified by the department.
