The PM Narendra Modi has launched “Pradhanmantri suryoday yojana” which is rooftop solar scheme. Under PM suryoday yojana online application, eligibility, subsidy and online registration process is shared in this article.
Pradhan mantri suryoday yojana will provide 1 crore households a rooftop solar panel. Prime minister said that the people of India should have their own solar roof top system on the roof of their houses.
PM Suryoday Yojana Online Apply
The PM solar rooftop scheme is the central government welfare initiative so that every poor and middle class people can take the benefit by applying solar panels on the roof and get rid of electricity bills.
The online application process for the pm rooftop solar scheme has started and now people who are interested can apply online for this scheme.
People who want to apply for solar roof top scheme will have to first visit the official website link solarrooftop.gov.in.
Here they will see a link stating, “Apply for Rooftop Solar”. Once you click here you will be redirected to a new page.
Here on the next page you have to the consumer registration online.
To register in the portal follow the steps shared below.
- Select your State
- Select your Electricity Distribution Company
- Enter your Electricity Consumer Number
- Enter Mobile Number
- Enter Email
- Please follow as per the direction from the portal
After entering your details on this page click on the next and the Login with Consumer Number & Mobile Number and after this you can Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form.
- Once you apply for the rooftop solar yojana, now wait for the feasibility approval from DISCOM. Once you get the feasibility approval install the plant by any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM.
- Once installation is over , submit the plant details and apply for net meter.
- After installation of net meter and inspection by DISCOM, they will generate commissioning certificate from portal.
- Once you got the commissioning report submit bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. Subsidy will come your account within 30 working days.

- Applicant must be resident of India.
- Applicant must have more than Rs.1.5 lakh income yearly.
- Applicant must have home to their names.
- You must not be a government employed person.

The suryoday yojana registration process is made very simple by the central government, all you have to visit on the solarrooftop.gov.in/consumerRegistration page.
Here you have to select your state, district and consumer account number and then click for the next and fill the registration form.

Subsidy
Central Government Subsidy/CFA for residential rooftop solar (RTS) plant is shared below.
*Special category States/UTs – North Eastern States including Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, UTs of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands
Applicability: The above-mentioned subsidy would be applicable for all subsidy claims submitted on the National Portal on or after 05.01.2024.
Mandatory Conditions: Only indigenously manufactured solar panels/modules (both solar cells and modules shall be made in India) shall be used for installation of the rooftop solar plant. Consumer shall obtain a certification in this regard from the vendor.
Calculation of CFA/subsidy: The CFA/subsidy would be calculated on the basis of total solar module capacity/solar inverter capacity/capacity approved by DISCOM, whichever is lower.
Disclaimer: Mere submission of claims on the National Portal would not entitle an applicant to receive CFA/subsidy. The compliance of complete process/guidelines issued by MNRE is mandatory to avail CFA subsidy.
