The Government of Tamil Nadu is implementing the scheme of distribution of laptop computers to the students studying in Government schools so that they can acquire better technical skills.

The Tamilnadu state government has decided to distribute free laptops to the students studying in government schools.
The state government has decided to launch this scheme in the year 2020 but to coronavirus and lockdown situation all over the country, this scheme is put on halt.
Now the state government is ready to distribute the tablets/laptops to the eligible students.
The students who recently passed the 10th and 12th board examination will be given free laptops.
The government’s motive is to make students more in touch with digital backgrounds. With these laptops, students can learn the latest technologies details study online on their laptops.
It is estimated that more than 5 lakh laptops will be distributed and approx. 950 crores will be spent on this free laptop scheme.

- Aadhar Card
- Mobile Number
- 10th pass certificate
- 12th pass certificate
- Physically challenged certificate.
Eligibility Criteria for the students
- Applicant must have passed 10th board examinations.
- Applicant must have passed the 12th board examinations.
- The candidate must be a resident of Tamil Nadu state.
