YSR Upadi Mitra Scheme: AP YSR government has launched the Rythu Seva Lo Upadhi Mitra Scheme (YRSUM) for the welfare of farmers, migrant workers. This Andhra Pradesh YSR Rythu Seva Lo Upadhi Mitra Scheme 2020 is with the purpose of online registration to apply online for farmers to get the benefit of this scheme.
This scheme is launched to help the farmers section as we all know due to COVID-19 lockdown whole country is suffering to get back online, so to help farmers this YRSUM scheme is initiated. This scheme is under discussion as there is an increase in unemployment in the state due to coronavirus.

Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy is concerned about the upcoming and increasing unemployment in the state due to COVID-19. To overcome this problem department is discussing to launch a welfare scheme for farmers. This scheme involves the use of NREGA workers in the agriculture field.
The government is planning to involve the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) workers and migrant labourers or workers who have returned to their homes due to COVID lockdown. As we all know due to these lockdowns in many states like Tamilnadu, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, etc workers have suffered a lot.
Now as per the instructions given to the department of rural development, district wise data detailed report on YSRUM is submitted to the Officials.
Under YSR Rythu Seva Lo Upadhi Mitra Scheme the migrant workers and MGNREGA workers will be provided jobs on daily wages.

The Srikakulam agriculture joint director K Sridhar has said that “The YRSUM is a boon to the agriculture sector. And they welcome this programme as it will help farmers, who are currently facing a shortage of labour. These days a farmer pays at least Rs.300 to Rs.500 per person as a daily wage to the labour.”

- He/She must be enrolled in the NREGA or must be migrant worker returned from another state.
