AP YSR Asara Scheme 2020-21
Andhra Pradesh state government has launched the YSR Asara Scheme to forgive the loan amount of all the Self Help Groups (SHGs). YSR Asara scheme to waive off the loans of debt-ridden women Self Help Groups in AP.
CM will be releasing the first installment of Rs 6345.87 crore benefiting 7, 91,257 self-help groups. According to an official statement, lakhs of women from poor families are forced to take loans at exorbitant rates of interest to meet their requirements and they were stuck in a vicious cycle of debts due to their inability to clear the debts.
