The central sector scholarship scheme is for the college and university going students which is funded by the central government. This scholarship is initiated by the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Central Sector Scholarship beneficiary list
Under this scholarship scheme, a total of 82000 students will be given scholarships out of which 41000 will be boys and 41000 will be girls.
The government has divided the ratio equally so that there will be no partiality while distributing the scholarships.
The selected students will get their money directly into their bank accounts.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who secured more than 80% in class 12 or pursuing regular UG/PG courses can apply for this scheme.
- The family income must be less than Rs.8,00,000.
- Students who belong to reserved categories of SC, ST, OBC, and PWD will get a reservation of 15%, 7.5%, 27%, and 5%, respectively.
- Applicant must not be taking any other scholarship program benefits.

Central Sector Scholarship 2020-21 Online Application
Students who are interested in applying for the scholarship will have to first visit the Official Web Portal i.e scholarships.gov.in
- If you are first time applying then you have to first do the online registration, you can see in the menu stating New Registration, click on it. ( as shown in the image below)
- Now you will be redirected to the Guidelines for Registration on the National Scholarship Portal page.
- Here you have to read the guidelines and in the end, select the options given below and click on continue.
- On the next page, you have the Fresh Registration For Academic Year 2020-21.
- Here you have to fill in the correct details and then Register yourself.
- Now you will have the Login details i.e Application Id and password.
- Now login again, and start applying for scholarship 2020-21.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Renewal 2020-21
The renewal is required for the students who have already registered on this portal. The renewal allows students to take scholarship again.
For the renewal, you have to visit the official website’s homepage, here you will see under the login Renewal 2020-21.
Now click on it, now on the next page enter the Login details like application ID and password and enter login.
Now you can do the renewal easily.
