Karma Sathi Prakalpa is the Government of West Bengal Initiative which comes under the Department of MSME&T, Government of West Bengal.

The West Bengal state government has taken a number of initiatives to generate employment for the youth. With the aim to make them self-dependent.

The State Government has launched this employment generation scheme to fulfill the basic needs of unemployed youth of the state.

The government of West Bengal has launched and announced the West Bengal Karma Sathi Prakalpa Scheme in mid-2020. And now this scheme is getting a number of applications from the online portals.

Under this Karmo sathi Prakalpa government will provide loans and other subsidies so that youth can get employment and start their own business so that the unemployment rate reduces.

Any interesting resident of West Bengal with new income-generating activity taken up for self-employment, age between 18-50, and class VII pass as minimum educational qualification can apply for this scheme.

• To facilitate intending or prospective entrepreneurs of the state in setting up new manufacturing enterprises and small businesses including services and trading.
• To create gainful self-employment opportunities in both rural and urban areas of the state.
• This scheme aims to provide financial assistance and help passionate and prospective young entrepreneurs to start their own business as a self-employed youth who will become an employer in the future and generate more employment.
• Under the scheme, soft loans and subsidies will be provided for taking up any new income-generating project in the manufacturing, service, and trading/business sector up to Rs. 2 lakhs.
• The Karma Sathi loan will be provided by the State-owned Cooperative Bank on soft terms.
• The scheme will commence from the date of Gazette Notification and shall remain in force for a period of three years thereafter.

Eligibility of Karmo Sathi Prakalpa in Bengali 2021 

Anyone can apply if he has the given eligibility criteria. And only one member of a family is eligible to apply in this scheme.

• Age: Any intending or prospective entrepreneur in the age group 18 – 50 years (from the date of Notification – Date 9th September 2020).
• Educational Qualification: Minimum education is Class VIII passed. And the preference will be given to intending entrepreneurs who are registered with the Employment Bank within the state.
• Any new income-generating activity taken up for self-employment in manufacturing, services, and trading will be eligible for assistance under the scheme.
